At the meeting there is Minister of Culture Yevgeny Nischuk, Minister of Education Sergei Kvit, Minister of Youth and Sports Dmitry Bulatov, Minister of Defense Mykhailo Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy Igor Shvayka.
Also at the session there is Regional Chief Rrosecutor Vasily Sinchuk and Director of the Militia of the Kharkiv region Anatoly Dmitriev, as well as the representatives of universities, in particular, Vil Bakirov, Rector of Karazin University. You can see in the room City Council Secretary Alexander Novak and all vice-governors of the Kharkiv region.
According to Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, the meeting is held to solve the questions of state orders for companies in eastern Ukraine, particularly, for Malyshev plant. Besides, the heads of the departments are going to discuss the political situation in the country and social issues.
Prime Minister Yatsenyuk asked the law enforcers to expedite the investigation into the assassination of Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes.
BALUTA AND KERNES VOICED THE REASONS FOR CANCELLING THE PARADE IN KHARKIV
On the Victory Day eve on the official websites of Kharkiv Regional city administration and the city council there was published the address from Igor Baluta and Gennady Kernes. The leaders congratulated veterans and all Kharkiv residents on Victory Day and explained the reasons for canceling the parade in Kharkiv.
“Unfortunately, the circumstances are such that this year, for the first time since the official celebration of May 9 was held, we are forced to cancel the events in the city center and in some areas of the region. This decision was made with a heavy heart, because until this morning we had been carrying everything needed for a dignified celebration of the Victory Day. Sadly, the information we have, attests the attempts of the destructive forces, including foreign ones, to encroach upon the honor, dignity, health and life of the participants of celebrations,”- is said in the address of Igor Baluta .
The same reasons are given by Mayor Gennady Kernes: "We have no right to put at risk the health of citizens and the peace of Kharkiv. According to the coming information, certain political forces, for which the memory of those who died in that war does not mean anything, are going to turn Victory Day into the day of pogroms. So, the festive program in Kharkiv on May 9 will be greatly reduced. "
It should be noted that the festivities on the occasion of Victory Day began today in the districts of Kharkiv and in Gorky Park.

KHARKIV CIVIL FORUM, EUROMAYDAN AND "METALIST" ULTRAS REFUSED FROM MASS ACTIONS ON VICTORY DAY
Today there was held a press conference of Kharkiv crisis information center "Union for Peace and Consent", where the public platform "Kharkiv Civil Forum" that brings together more than 20 artists and social organizations along with Kharkiv Euromaydan, Kharkov Civil Defense and Ultras of FC "Metalist" made a statement of non-participation in any provocations during Victory Day festivities.
With sign the appeal and declare their peaceful position during the celebration of May 9 Kharkiv civic forum also appealed to the leadership of public organizations Antimaydana.

PRO-RUSSIAN ACTIVISTS DOLGOV GOT NEW CHARGES
Law enforcement authorities suspect one of the leaders of the pro-Russian actions in Kharkiv Konstantin Dolgov of illegal possession of weapon, writes "Mediaport." Konstantin Dolgov’s new charge is by Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "illegal handling of weapons," said the activist’s lawyer Yevgeny Nadolya. For this article, the court may give from three to seven years in prison.
Today the Court of Appeal considered the appeal of Konstantin Dolgov’s defense on preventive measure in the first episode - suspicion of arson of " Privat "ATM. The defense plead to determine the preventive measure that is not related to detention. The trial court had determined the activist detention with the ability to get out on bail of 609 thousand UAH.
Court partially upheld the complaint - Dolgov is left in custody, but the bail was up to 300 minimum wages (365 400 UAH ). The lawyers did not agree with the court decision and are going to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
ONE MORE "PRIVAT" ATM WAS BURNED IN KHARKIV REGION
Tonight it was committed one more arson of "Privat" ATM. This time it happened in Chuguev on Karl Liebknecht Street, 44. Also the case of vandalism was stated as the ATM was poured with paint. The damage to the bank is being estimated.
We would like to remind that the financial institution promises 100,000 UAH for information on hooligans.
FIVE THOUSAND MILITIAMEN WILL PROTECT THE ORDER DURING HOLIDAYS
Today on Freedom Square there was held general instruction of services and police units, whose members are involved in public order protection. Since today and throughout the holidays the reinforced patrol will be carried by 5.5 thousand police officers.
MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS ASK NOT TO HOLD FOOTBALL MATCHES IN KHARKIV REGION
Due to the recent events that accompanied the football matches in Kharkiv on April 27 and May 2 in Odessa, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has addressed the Football Federation of Ukraine, the Premier League and the Professional Football League with a request to carry out the rest of the football matches of the season 2013-2014 during business hours on weekdays and without the presence of spectators.
